Tim will talk about The Extraordinary History of the Toby Jug pub.
It stood diagonally opposite Tolworth Tower, and was built in 1934 to serve the newly opened Kingston By-Pass.
During the Cold War it became a meeting place for spies, and in the 1960s and 70s was one of London’s most important music venues, where everyone from David Bowie to Rod Stewart, Fleetwood Mac to Led Zeppelin, played.

This gripping and entertaining talk is highly recommended.
