Boo is one of the most highly respected songwriters of his era and is a first-class performer, too, appearing alongside such well-known artists as Eddi Reader and Chris Difford. Boo is also extremely funny, with self-deprecating tales of the various ways in which he nearly became famous. In fact, he is unduly modest – for he is the complete package. Jenny is a Scottish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who brings together the old and new with a rare skill. Her music combines sonic and lyrical imagery which is bound together by common threads of nature, folklore and the connection people have with the landscape. Their collaboration as “Outliers” has struck the perfect balance both lyrically and musically.

Folk@thecornerHOUSE is a monthly series of concerts showcasing the best in folk music. The aim is to present a wide variety of performers in the wonderful intimate setting of The Corner House. Each evening will have a main guest with a supporting act to start. There are too few venues in Surrey providing outlets for the dazzling wealth of talent available on the folk scene and this venture will hopefully go a long way towards filling that void.
