Event Details
During the evening Terry will be talking about the effects of cancer on his life and highlighting just how many people it takes to support one cancer patient both physically and emotionally. All the 150 people portrayed in this exhibition have helped Terry. It will also be an opportunity to hear more about the work of the Royal Marsden and Maggie’s Centres; proceeds from the ticket money and sales of work will go to these two charities.
Terry writes :
‘I was never aware of just how many people, clinical and non-clinical, would be involved in my recovery from cancer. Even though the main culprit had been removed, its sibling was the cause of far more trouble and discomfort, and trouble for the oncologists treating me.
This is my collection of all those who agreed to take part in my record, and the hundreds of those who have helped, often unknowingly, to keep me well. Some in a tiny but significant way like a once-off treatment, others in an ongoing patient presence without which the outcome of my story would have been much shorter’
