Bar night with singer Billie Wackrill

Fri 20 Jul 2012

Enjoy live music, sup a drink, look at our new art exhibition, and browse through our book, DVD and CD exchange at the cornerHOUSE bar night on Friday, July 20. Convivial company and inexpensive drinks are also a big draw at the arts centre in Douglas Road, Surbiton.
Tonight, while you sit and have a chat and enjoy a glass of wine, Billie Wackrill will be entertaining punters.
Billie is currently studying music at The BRIT School in Croydon.
She sings jazz with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra but also enjoys singing soul, r'n'b, funk and pop music.
Her influences are Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, Donny Hathaway, Dinah Washington and others.
Billie has been gigging in the area for a while now, singing in pubs and at local festivals.
You will get a chance to see the latest exhibition at the cornerHOUSE by a group of |Kingston U3A artists. The show is called Artists of a Certain Age and exhibits the talents of 16 artists. The works, techniques and styles are as varied as the artists themselves. All the exhibits are for sale.
